Ginny Hiatt, FNP, has been working at Sunnyside Pediatrics in Salt Lake since 1997.

Ginny Hiatt is the nurse practitioner at our office. She received her bachelor in nursing degree from the University of Utah in 1987. She worked for the next 10 years at, what was then Holy Cross Hospital, in labor and delivery as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and prenatal educator.

She earned her master’s degree in nursing from Westminster College in 1997. She has had the pleasure of working at Alpine Medical since 1997. She enjoys all aspects of pediatric patient care, especially empowering parents and patients through education.

Ginny approaches her role as a pediatric care provider from a collaborative perspective, working with parents and the children themselves to optimize their health and development. She will provide care through ongoing health maintenance visits, including physical assessments, developmental assessments, immunizations, anticipatory guidance, and referral to specialist as needed.

If your child is ill or has an acute problem she can assess, order any necessary tests, evaluate and treat conditions as needed. In times of illness as well as healthy times she strives to provide support, information, and encouragement to parents and families.

She has 3, of course, wonderful children, 2 adult daughters and 1 rambunctious younger son. She lives in Summit County at 7,000 feet and enjoys playing in the great outdoors with her family.
